Today we're thrilled to share a guest post from Alyssa, founder of Alyssa Amez Design, a custom stationery studio. She has been collaborating with Rise & Shine Letterpress for nearly a year, and the partnership extends beyond printing to include design refinement, concept testing, and assembly work.
I value the importance and the beauty of a one-of-a-kind design; details that tell a story through the intricate, intentional and unique parts of each client's narrative.
The project
The stationery suite included both save-the-date cards and wedding invitations for Catrina and Leonardo's ceremony at Garden Theater in Detroit, Michigan. Design inspiration came from three sources: the venue's distinctive textural qualities, delicate floral event elements, and contemporary aesthetic preferences.
Save-the-date details
- Paper: Arturo in double-thick 600gsm weight
- Ink: Warm grey shades
- Finishing: Vellum wax seal with preserved baby's breath
Wedding invitation details
- Printing: Letterpress combined with blind debossing
- Paper: Handmade paper for the details card
- Embellishment: Vellum wrap and wax seal
- Design approach: Modern, chic aesthetic paired with delicate floral elements
